The World Handball Federation (IHF) and the European Handball Federation (EHF) are considering introducing a rule at the Women's World Cup in Spain, as well as at the Men's European Championship in Slovakia and Hungary, that only vaccinated handball players should play.

The reason for this thinking of the leaders of IFH and EHF, is the difficult epidemiological situation in Europe, which is why they want all players and members of the professional staff to be vaccinated against coronavirus.

- It is true that mandatory vaccination is being considered. I think this is the only solution that will protect all participants - said the president of the German Handball Federation, Uwe Schwenker.

It is expected that this decision will be made official in the next few days. The Women's World Cup will be held from December 1 to 19 in Spain, while the European Championship in men's competition, in which Macedonia will also participate, will be held from January 14 to 30 next year.
