2.000 North Korean soldiers have joined Russian forces in Ukraine
Two thousand soldiers from North Korea have joined the Russian units and will actively participate in the fighting, while another 9.000 soldiers are in reserve, "Kiev Post" reported.
Andriy Chernyak, a representative of the Ukrainian Defense Intelligence Service, told Radio Svoboda that although these forces are probably not on the front line, they are still contributing to aggression against Ukraine, helping to kill Ukrainian soldiers.
"They may not be on the front line. They may not be in advanced positions, but they still contribute to the aggression against Ukraine and the killing of Ukrainian soldiers," Chernyak said.
According to Ukraine's Defense Intelligence Service, the North Korean military contingent in Russia is commanded by three North Korean generals.
"They keep them as secret as possible, they keep them as much as possible." "They are in closed camps, conducting training, but hiding from everyone," explained Chernyak.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, there are currently more than 11.000 North Korean troops in Russia's Kursk region. The Chief of General Staff confirmed that the Russian command has already engaged North Korean soldiers in the fight against Ukrainian forces.
