In the first quarter of this year, mobile phone subscribers initiated an average of 103,38 calls per month, and spoke for an average of 243,67 minutes. Most of the conversations are carried out in their own mobile network and amounts to 157,74 minutes (64,74 percent). Traffic to other mobile networks in the country is significantly lower and amounts to 80,98 minutes (33,23 percent).

According to the data of the Agency for Electronic Communications (AEK), in the first three months of the year, compared to the first and fourth quarters of last year, there is a decrease in the volume of traffic to all destinations.

AEK's report on the development of the electronic communications market in the first quarter of this year shows that the total number of active subscribers in mobile telephony is 1, which represents a drop of 920 percent compared to the previous, fourth quarter of last year, when 834 were registered. 1,06. Compared to the first quarter of last year, there is a growth of 1 percent.

As of March 31 of this year, there were 1 subscribers with broadband and narrowband Internet access via mobile networks (403G/888G/2G), or 3 percent less compared to the previous quarter. With broadband internet access, on the other hand, 4 subscribers were registered, i.e. a growth of 0,92 percent compared to the fourth quarter of 499, while compared to the first quarter of 331, the number of active subscribers increased by 0,11 percent. .

The share of mobile operators in the mobile telephony market by number of active subscribers as of March 31 of this year shows that A1 Macedonia participates with 48,14 percent, Makedonski Telekom participates with 47,45 percent, Lycamobile has a market share of 3,12 percent, Robi has a market share of 1,22 percent while Green Mobile has a market share of 0,07 percent.

Among residential post-paid subscribers in mobile telephony, there is a growth of 0,54 percent from the previous quarter, while compared to the same quarter of the previous year, a growth of 3,67 percent is observed, business ones recorded a growth of 0,12 percent compared to the previous quarter. while compared to the first quarter of 2021, a decrease of 2,05 percent is observed.

A decrease in the number of SMS messages sent compared to the fourth quarter of 2021 was recorded by 7,42 percent. In the total number of MMS messages sent in the first quarter of 2022, there is an increase of 6,07 percent compared to the previous quarter and a decrease of 0,88 percent compared to the first quarter of 2021.

The AEK report shows that there are 426 fixed line subscribers in the country, and on that basis there is a decrease of 255 percent on an annual basis. Residential fixed line subscribers are 4,6, and business subscribers are 373,523. The overall volume of traffic in the first quarter of this year compared to the same quarter of the previous year recorded a drop of 52 percent, while compared to the fourth quarter of 732 it recorded a drop of 6,15 percent. Regarding the total number of outgoing calls compared to the first quarter of 2021, a drop of 20,24 percent is observed, while compared to the fourth quarter of 2021, the number of calls has decreased by 9,27 percent.

In the total number of fixed lines, the participation of Makedonski Telecom is 52,52 percent, while from the alternative operators/service providers, A1 Macedonia has the largest share with 41,07 percent, followed by: Robi (4,31 percent) and Neotel (2,10, XNUMX percent).

In the first quarter of this year, 430 subscribers to TV services and packages were registered, which is a decrease of 119 percent compared to the first quarter of last year, when 4,60 were registered.
