It is still not possible to travel to Germany for tourist reasons, Skopje International Airport announced today, apologizing for the information they published on Saturday when they informed that Macedonian citizens can travel to Germany for tourist reasons.

Now they say that decision, unfortunately, is not in force yet.

- That decision is not in force, although we as an airport received information from our partners that Macedonian citizens will be able to travel without providing an essential reason for travel, and the same information was in our aviation systems where the latest travel rules / restrictions are updated. due to Covid-19 which apply to different countries. In the meantime, we have received corrected information that it is still not possible to travel to Germany for tourist reasons and we share this with you. We apologize for the unintentional mistake, reported from the airport.

They add that they are currently expecting detailed information from the competent institutions and the competent Embassy and as soon as they receive it, they will share it.

- The other details in the information we published on June 12, 2021, are correct. Namely, the Republic of Macedonia is no longer on the list of risk countries for Covid-19 of Germany, which means that entry into a foreign country for Macedonian citizens is possible only if they belong to the so-called essential passengers and present either a negative Covid-19 test or evidence of vaccination. At the same time, an electronically completed Passenger Locator Form is no longer required to board a plane., say from Skopje International Airport.
