1154.- Nicholas Brexpir is the first and only Englishman to be elected pope and was enthroned as head of the Roman Catholic Church as Adrian IV.

1798.- The Italian physician and scientist Luigi Galvani, who discovered galvanic electricity in 1789 and called it "animal magnetism", died. It is named after many instruments and labels in electromagnetism and electronics in general.

1875.-Rainer Maria Rilke, a German writer and one of Germany's greatest lyricists, was born in Prague. 1976.- English composer Edward Benjamin Britten has died. Works: operas "Peter Grimes", "Albert Herring", compositions for orchestra "Spring Symphony", "Variations on the theme of Franco Bridge".

1981.- Murtesa Peza, a short story writer, novelist and playwright of Albanian nationality in Macedonia, died in Rijeka. He is the author of the collections "Will You Come Back", "Kel Stairs" and the novels "Mejrusha" and "In My Street". He was born in Elbasan, Albania, on June 20, 1919.

1993.- At the election Archbishopric-Church People's Assembly of the MOC, which was held in the cathedral of the Ohrid Archbishops "St. Sofia ”, in Ohrid, Mr. Mihail, Metropolitan of Povardarie was elected head of the Macedonian Orthodox Church, later renamed MOC-OA.
