MZ: Yesterday 12 062 citizens received the vaccine, 690 806 were revaccinated
Vaccination is uninterrupted at all points across the country, and field vaccination is underway. A total of 774 citizens were vaccinated at the vaccination points in the country and in the field, as of yesterday. The first dose of vaccine was received yesterday by 422 citizens, and yesterday a total of 2955 citizens were vaccinated. A total of 12 doses of vaccines have been applied in the country, and 062 citizens have been revaccinated, the Ministry of Health announced.
According to the latest figures, 55 percent of the population over the age of 40 have received a single dose of the vaccine and 31 percent of the population over the age of 18 to 39 have been vaccinated with a single dose of the vaccine.
Citizens are vaccinated without an appointment, in the existing vaccination points across the country. Children aged 12 to 18 are vaccinated with parental consent. Vaccines are safe and effective and are the only way to beat the pandemic. Only a complete vaccination prevents a severe form of the disease, reduces the chance of disease, as well as its fatal outcome, the statement said.
