The Ministry of Internal Affairs strongly denies the lies published by the NSP on social networks that the new generation of police officers was not required to wear uniforms and will not receive uniforms.

- We want to inform the public that the new police officers - trainees should report to work on Monday, October 3, and after the distribution by organizational units, they will be required to wear a uniform in their organizational unit. We point out that an official who has not started work, has no reason to order a uniform before the first working day and, what is even more important, that the necessary quantities of uniforms in the central warehouse of the Ministry of the Interior are available to all organizational units, the Ministry of Interior said.

From there they emphasize that in the last few years, the current leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has set the creation of a modern, equipped, professional, efficient and satisfied police as a top priority.

-Continuously in these six years funds are planned in the budget of the ministry and investments are made in the material provision of the uniformed police officers from all organizational units, with new equipment which after several years has now been completely renewed. To achieve this priority, more than 10 million euros were invested in new uniforms for each organizational unit, and for some units uniforms were purchased twice, according to needs. So, uniforms are also provided to every single one of the 590 new colleagues who have successfully completed training at the Police Center, and they already know it. The uniforms consist of belts, high special boots, summer and winter hats, trousers/skirts, shirts, windbreakers, short-sleeved collared shirts and shoes with thin and thick soles, which have already been procured for them, the Ministry of Interior responds.

In addition, the Ministry of the Interior points out that 76 buildings of the Ministry of the Interior have been reconstructed throughout the country, in which measures for energy efficiency have also been implemented.

-Always in dialogue with the employees, in partnership with the representative Macedonian police union, their needs are met - as a result of the concluded new Collective Agreement, the regular payments of bonus salaries, the increase of salaries from this month, we are working towards the realization of the set goal - motivated colleagues, satisfied and proud to be part of an institution such as the Ministry of the Interior. At the same time, work processes are facilitated through digitalization, with highly technological and technical equipment for fast and effective police work, in accordance with modern trends and standards of European police work. These are the facts, and everything else is a tendentious marketing of untruths, which have the ultimate goal of harming the institution and the work of the police, especially the young police officers who enthusiastically and highly motivated join the professional police family. Continuous investment in the institution, in its employees, in terms of material, technical, educational, social and professional upgrading, remains the top priority of a serious institution such as the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry emphasized.
