Last night around 22:15 near a church in the village of Prdejci, Gevgelija, police officers from the Bogorodica Police Station deprived DB (34) from Shtip of his freedom, and around 23:50 in Gevgelija, police officers from the Police Station Gevgelija, Z.V. (44) from Shtip, was deprived of his liberty, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion of the crime of "smuggling of migrants".

- Namely, at 21:15 p.m. near a catering facility on the Prdejci-Smokvica regional road, 14 migrants from Syria, India and Pakistan were found in a truck "Iveko" with Veles license plates, driven by D.B. while in Gevgelija, Z.V., who was driving a "Peugeot 306" passenger vehicle with Stip registration plates, was detained due to suspicion of his involvement in the crime, the Ministry of the Interior informs today.

The migrants are placed in the Vinojug Gevgelija Reception and Transit Center for further processing, and criminal charges will be filed against the two persons.
