Musetti optimistic: I was defeated by Djokovic right in Paris, but now it's different
The Italian tennis player Lorenzo Musetti is optimistic before the duel with Novak Djokovic in the semi-finals of the Olympic Games in Paris.
Musetti made a big surprise and eliminated the current Olympic champion Alexander Zverev. The match was very uncertain, and after more than two hours of fighting it ended in two sets, with a difference - 7:5, 7:5.
After the triumph, he first said that it doesn't matter who he will play against in the semi-finals, and then he emphasized that he is ready for a medal.
– I play the best in my life. I am ready to win the medal that we have been waiting for exactly 100 years - the Italian is optimistic.
He also commented on Djokovic, referring to the last match played against him.
– I recently lost to Novak right here in five sets. It was a big fight and I think the difference from the third to the fifth set in terms of experience and physical capabilities was crucial. The Olympic tournament, on the other hand, is played on two won sets and I expect that to help me - said Musetti.
Today's semi-final between Djokovic and Musetti is scheduled for 19.00:13.30 p.m., and earlier, at XNUMX:XNUMX p.m., Felix Auger-Aliasim (Canada) will play against Carlos Alcaraz (Spain).
