The new Government of Macedonia, led by Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, will be strongly focused on the European integration of the country, said today the new Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Macedonia, Timco Mutsunski.

- We will be strongly focused on the implementation of the reforms, Mutsunski said after arriving at the informal meeting of the ministers of foreign affairs of the EU member states and representatives of the Western Balkans region, which is being held in Luxembourg.

Mutsunski, whose first working day in this position is today, said that he came to Luxembourg to meet with the ministers of foreign affairs of the EU member states and together with his colleagues from the Western Balkans to confirm how important the European integration process is for stability. of the region.

- We will discuss with colleagues from the member states of the European Union about what the EU can do, the importance of the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans, which will have serious positive fiscal implications for the Western Balkans. We believe that this is one of the forums through which we can jointly accelerate the progress of the entire region towards full membership in the EU, Mutsunski said.

He added that Skopje wants to advance towards full membership in the EU based on the values ​​and criteria required by the EU itself and said that Skopje believes that the European integration process should not be burdened with bilateral disputes.

In Luxembourg, within the framework of the Council of Foreign Affairs of the EU, opinions on the Western Balkans will be exchanged, with the participation of the ministers of foreign affairs of Serbia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro and Kosovo, it was announced earlier by the Council of the EU.
