- UEFA has long intended to discuss the situation in Belarus at the upcoming meeting - said the letter of the president of UEFA, Aleksandar Ceferin, sent to 100 members of the European Parliament.
This is a direct answer to the Polish MP Tomasz Frankovski, a member of the Commission for Culture of the European Parliament.
A hundred MPs from all political groups asked UEFA in the middle of the month to expel Belarus over its ties to Russia and the issue of respect for human rights in the country.
