MotoGP: Banjaia with a record and pole position in San Marino
Francesco Banjaia will start from the first starting position at the San Marino Grand Prix in the MotoGP class. The Italian ace in a dominant way came to the best result in the qualifiers, in which the drivers of "Ducati" shone.
Banjaia reached the third "pole" this season, 10th in his career, with a record at the "Mizano" track in Rimini - 1: 31.065 min. The previous one was held by Paul Espargaro from 2020 - 1: 31.077.
Ducati's "Red Army" will be completed in the first row by second-placed Jack Miller, and in third place, after falling in the last lap, remains Fabio Quartararo, the leader of the world championship.
Before Quartararo, in an attempt to overtake Banjaia, Mark Marquez and Aleш Espargaro ended up in the sand.
In the second starting line in 14 races this season there will be two more "Ducati", Jorge Martin and Joan Zarco, and they will be accompanied by Paul Espargaro.
