My 1 + 5: Selected by Tamara Ristoska, "Notorious" by Alfred Hitchcock, 1946
It 's really ungrateful when I have to single out one, but when I was given this challenge, I somehow kept coming back to this choice, so now I may really know that it's my favorite movie of all the least favorite. There is no movie in this industry in which you can not recognize the impact of Hitchcock.
Hitch will forever remain the god of suspense, great casting, mastery in creating good dialogue and control. And when I say good dialogue, I mean "Notorious." The story in this film is a conflict between love and dignity, trust, escaping guilt and pain, camouflaging emotional reactions through alcohol and deception.
Timeless topics that will always remain relevant. A film made very soon after the Second World War, where Hitchcock built a very good relationship between the characters with whom you can identify at any time.
As an actress, what I can not single out and not be biased is the role of Ingrid Bergman, which is an amazing combination of sensitivity and rationality, and control of stability and vulnerability. One of the best performances I have ever seen in a movie.
Yes, I have to admit that her performance is closely related to the selection for the best film.
