The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo called on citizens to avoid crossing through Serbia

The Kosovo Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora appealed to the citizens of Kosovo to avoid crossing through Serbia, due to the situation in the north of the country.

"Due to the situation that occurred in the north of the country, the Ministry calls on all citizens to avoid crossing through Serbia," the Ministry said. According to them, they have reports "about the arrest of citizens of the Republic of Kosovo by the Serbian authorities during their passage through Serbia." The statement added that "those cases are dealt with closely through the Liaison Office in Belgrade".

"Taking into account the recent events and respecting the incorrect approach of the Serbian authorities, in order to avoid any incident, the Ministry calls on citizens to use alternative travel routes."
