Sitting at home and not going to the polls is support for the opponent of SDSM, said the Prime Minister and President of the Social Democratic Union, Zoran Zaev to the voters in tonight's guest appearance on Sitel TV.

- Many of our voters stayed at home. We were not defeated by VMRO-DPMNE in the first round, neither in Skopje, nor in other municipalities. They have even fewer votes than they had, but we have many times fewer votes. People stayed home for various reasons and it was all targeted to mobilize them to get out. Some of the free-minded citizens, or those who are not fully acquainted with politics, say "well, there will be a second round, I will go out in the second round", some of them addressed a serious punishment, gave us a complete yellow card for dissatisfaction with certain policy influences and all that reason why citizens stayed at home, he said.

"I believe we have addressed them, we have changed a lot in our approach, all with the ultimate goal of mobilizing turnout. If someone really decided that he should change us, punish the government, local, city, state, etc., he can do it in the elections, but if he thinks that he should support us, he should also come out, but sitting at home according to us "is the complete support of our opponent," Zaev added.

He reiterated that he expects after the local elections to strengthen the parliamentary majority, which according to him will be joined by several MPs. More details about this Zaev announced after the elections.
