The union that represents young doctors in Great Britain announced today that they will hold a four-day strike, starting on April 11, because the Government did not make a new better offer to increase their salaries.

The union's statement said the young doctors would strike until they were paid "what they are worth".

Tens of thousands of young doctors have been on strike for three days across the UK since March 13, demanding a pay rise in line with inflation, which the Government has refused, saying it would cause an even higher rate of inflation.

In Great Britain, since the end of last year, strikes began by workers in many areas, who demanded an increase in wages in line with inflation.
