Miteva accused Shilegov: The City of Skopje and the Municipality of Centar had a decision to cut 3 trees, and cut 10

The story of the City of Skopje that the tree line on Orce Nikolov Street was cut in accordance with the Law is just another lie of Shilegov, said today Marija Miteva, spokesperson for VMRO-DPMNE.

- This is the solution that approves cutting of 10 trees as well as pruning of an entire tree line along the street "Orce Nikolov". There are many illogicalities in the solution itself. First, the decision was issued for cutting 10 trees that are located on the stretch from the intersection with "Roosevelt" to the intersection with "Leninova". Additionally, according to the information we have, on this part of st. "Orce Nikolov" only three trees were to be cut down out of these ten for which there is a permit for cutting according to the decision, and a total of thirteen were cut down. For such manipulation with the citizens, it is necessary for the City of Skopje to submit all the documentation for inspection, and Shilegov should be aware that acting contrary to the Laws entails responsibility.

It is not at all surprising that this decision was made by Kocho Stojcevski, the famous house master of the Municipality of Centar, who was redistributed by Shilegov to the City of Skopje as a manager. Numerous scandals are connected with Kocho who from a house master was magically promoted to inspector of the Municipality of Centar and then head of the City of Skopje.

Let us clarify another dilemma, for the tree line on st. "Orce Nikolov". The decision states that the trees will be cut, which means their shaping, and not cutting them as happened on "Orce Nikolov" street.

While their speech is full of words about a green Skopje, their works are full of cut down trees and ruined Skopje. Green belts in cities have a significant impact on reducing air pollution. We call for accountability and responsibility before the citizens, your arbitrariness must stop, says Miteva.
