President of the National Assembly of Bulgaria Nikola Minchev In an interview with BNR, he said that the Government is not preparing to lift the veto on Northern Macedonia's membership in the EU, MIA reports from Sofia.

According to Minchev, there would definitely be no unanimous lifting of the veto on Northern Macedonia, but, as he said, that topic is widely exploited for political purposes.

"There is no real reason to claim that we will deviate from the national interest of Bulgaria," he said.

According to him, the Bulgarian position on the topic is clear and the fulfillment of the Good Neighbor Agreement and other agreements is expected.
