Seventeen million inhabitants of the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen are placed in Carthage after being reported 66 new cases of coronavirus, said the local government, which also closed the business district.

The authorities in the city where they are accommodated technology giants like Huawei and Tencent, asked residents to stay home due to the increasing incidence of omicron strain infection.

Authorities in recent days have already closed places and restaurants that are not necessary due to the growing number of patients.

China only registered 3.393 new cases yesterday of coronavirus infection, at most one day after the outbreak of the pandemic in February 2020

Due to the rapid increase in the number of cases across the country, authorities have closed schools in Shanghai and closed several cities in the northeast, while more than ten provinces are struggling to contain local hotspots.
