Mili: Ukrainians are ready to continue the fight against the Russian invasion

US Army Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley said that Ukraine is well prepared to continue the battle against the Russian invasion.

During a commemoration of the anniversary of the Allied invasion at an American cemetery in Normandy, France, Milley also warned that the war would be a "long one".

He said that it remains for Ukraine itself to announce whether its counteroffensive has officially begun, but he said that Ukrainian troops are ready to fight, reported the Guardian.

- Our assessment is that the Ukrainian army is well prepared for whatever it does. Whether they choose to fight offensively or defensively, they are well prepared, Milley said.

According to him, as time goes on, the struggles will vary.

-Like the Battle of Normandy or any other great battle, warfare is a give and take. There will be days when you see a lot of activity and there will be days when you may see very little activity. There will be offensive and defensive activities. So this is going to be back and forth over a long period of time, Milley noted.
