Milchin: I think Mickoski and Gruevski met with Orban together
"I cannot accept a situation in which people yell and whistle against something in the Assembly, and then no vote is taken." That worries me. My position and the position of the opposition were not different, but they simply made a fraud. They deceived the citizens. Who could have guessed that such a situation in the Assembly, they would protest so loudly, and then there would be silence and absence", said tonight the director and former head of the Foundation Open Society Macedonia. Vladimir Milchin.
He, appearing in the diary of the Sitel television, commented on the attitude of the opposition parties during the debate in the Parliament regarding the information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, about the proposal-negotiation framework for the Republic of North Macedonia with the EU, presented by the French presidency with the European Union.
According to Milchin, "how politics is conducted is important." He is reserved about the opposition's idea of a referendum on the negotiating framework, but says a referendum "might be a good solution".
Milchin also commented on the visit of VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski and his meeting with the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
"The current leader of VMRO-DPMNE and the former leader of the party (Nikola Gruevski) are in Budapest with Orban. I think they were at the same meeting, otherwise it is not clear to me why Mickoski would go there. At the same time, when Orbán says that Macedonia is damaged, European Commissioner Varhei, who is Orbán's man, hits out at the opposition for exaggerating. Is this a trick? Is someone playing tricks on us?” he said in Sittel's diary.
