"I doubt and worry that the outgoing Prime Minister is ready to sign a new agreement with Bulgaria which will mean assimilation and a direct blow to the identity of the Macedonian people," said VMRO-DPMNE President Hristijan Mickoski during his visit to Prilep today.

He said the information they received was "alarming".

- Zoran Zaev in departure is ready to sign a new agreement although he assured us that he has resolved all that he has resolved open issues with our neighbors in which he will partially or fully accept the Resolution adopted by the Bulgarian Parliament in November 2019, if I am not mistaken. It is a complete assimilation of the Macedonian people and a direct blow to the identity. Since he is leaving, I am worried that he may make this move and that we will all pay the consequences. Having his situation in the Government and the DUI coalition, or more precisely with Ali Ahmeti and Artan Grubi, I doubt and worry that this information is true and that it can happen, said Mickoski.

Therefore, he added, "my message to the new government of our eastern neighbor and to President Radev was that this unilateral agreement of a government that has no credibility, because it was defeated in the local elections, as VMRO-DPMNE we do not intend to respect, because that will mean a direct blow to the identity of the Macedonian people and the assimilation of the Macedonian people. "Something that has nothing to do with the values of the 21st century and the values of the EU." said Mickoski.

Mickovski announced readiness to talk to everyone about, as he said, what is in front of us, and not about what is behind us.

-To talk about good education, tourism, infrastructure connection, everything that offers progress and future. Let's not go back to the past, because these are painful topics in the Balkans. "We will not accept any blackmail and we will call on our friends in Brussels to support us, because we are people who want to share European values for the future, not for the past," Mickovski said.

In response to a journalist question, he reiterated that it is unethical that the political opponent SDSM scheduled a congress on the same day as that of VMRO-DPMNE, even though theirs was scheduled months earlier.
