Mickoski: The government will not retain the majority in support of the Government, there will be no majority for constitutional amendments

The leader of VMRO-DPMNE Hristijan Mickoski believes that the government will not keep the majority in support of the Government and reiterated that there will be no majority for constitutional amendments. He told Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski to go to early parliamentary elections as soon as possible, otherwise, with the help of MPs from SDSM and DUI, the opposition will dissolve the parliament.

"This parliament does not have a mandate to change the Constitution, because neither the opposition participated in the creation of that agreement, nor did it agree with that agreement, nor did it come out to the citizens to promise that there would be constitutional changes. Early parliamentary elections need to be held as soon as possible, let's all come up with a solution to the problem brought by the DUI Government supported by SDSM, and the citizens are the ones who have to decide who they should trust. I do not believe that they will retain the majority to support this Government, and they will not have a majority for constitutional amendments - says Mickoski.

He believes that if Kovacevski says that he complimented him by asking for elections to be held in May and that the Government is successfully dealing with the energy and economic crisis, then they should immediately go to the elections.

"Excellent, if he believes that it is so, I invite him not to desert, to go to the elections and see how successfully he deals with the energy and economic crisis. Citizens will say whether it is being handled successfully or unsuccessfully. There is one way to show that, and that is elections. If he continues to desert and hide, he will not be able to get that answer right away, but we will have to wait a few months for these MPs from SDSM and DUI to support the dissolution of the parliament and early elections, Mickoski said.

When asked how he assessed the meeting of the leaders of the Albanian parties with the Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama in Tirana, the leader of VMRO-DPMNE said:

"As a catastrophic meeting, a meeting that divides the people of Macedonia instead of uniting them, a meeting that should save the DUI government supported by Kovacevski, a meeting without substance.
