The draft reform agenda for the period 2024-2027 was presented in the Government today, which will aim to promote the economic growth and stability of the state within the framework of the Growth Plan for the countries of the Western Balkans.
The agenda was presented by Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski and Minister of European Affairs Orhan Murtezani at a joint press conference in the media center of the Government.

This plan initiated by the EC, as indicated, aims to reduce the economic disparities of the state and the EU by offering citizens access to the benefits of the Union even before official membership, and is based on four basic pillars - strengthening economic integration with the single EU market, deepening of economic integration through increased cooperation with neighbors within the common regional market, acceleration of fundamental reforms and increase of financial aid for reforms with a financial package of 6 billion euros, of which two billion are grants.
According to the formula, 750 million euros should belong to the state for the period 4-2024. The reform agenda for the indicated period should be adopted by the EC, which will open the possibility of signing an agreement on the mechanism for reforms and growth and a loan agreement. .
After the ratification of the agreements, a request will be submitted again for the withdrawal of the first tranche in the amount of 7 percent of the allocation of funds, ie about 52,5 million euros.
The reform agenda has been prepared in cooperation with the EC and will cover priority areas such as public administration reforms, energy transition, cyber security, digitalization, human capital development and improvement of the business environment, as key areas for improving the standard of citizens and ensuring long-term stability. and progress for the country.
