Mickoski predicts: Davkova and Pendarovski enter the second round

According to our polls, professor Siljanovska Davkova and the current chairman Pendarovski will enter the second round of the presidential elections, the leader of VMRO DPMNE Hristijan Mickoski said tonight in an interview with TV Sitel.

The president of VMRO-DPMNE Mickoski estimated that Macedonia will gain a lot compared to the other candidates, especially Pendarovski.

"Here I would single out the current President Stevo Pendarovski and I appreciate that the name for the second round should be sought here. Although I think that according to all the polls we have and analyses, the advantage of Siljanovska will be more than 100 thousand votes compared to Pendarovski, at least 100 thousand votes difference in the first round and I appreciate that this will give a serious message to the voters how to mobilize for the second electoral round of presidential elections, as well as for parliamentary elections on May 8," Mickoski said.

Regarding polls for forecasting the results of the upcoming elections, according to the last poll, Mickoski emphasized that if parliamentary elections were held tomorrow, about 22-23 percent would vote for VMRO-DPMNE, while only 9 to 10 percent would vote for SDSM.

"The February field polls show that the number that VMRO-DPMNE would win if there were elections tomorrow is between 22-23 percent. SDSM moves around 9-10 percent of the votes won, conditionally speaking DUI and the united Albanian opposition would move between 6-6.5 percent of the votes won. The ZNAM and Left parties would move around 4-5 percent, Mickoski stressed.

When asked how many deputies VMRO-DPMNE would win according to the polls, Mickoski said:

"Based on these figures at the state level weighted by the number of deputies, I estimate that at the moment VMRO-DPMNE and the coalition would be between 53 and 56 deputies."
