Mickoski: I lend a hand to unite the opposition to overthrow the government

The Coalition "For the Renewal of Macedonia" won 55 thousand more votes than SDSM and the coalition in the voting for the councilor lists, which is a convincing victory and a clear message to the government, but also a great responsibility for the opposition, said today VMRO-DPMNE President Hristijan Mickoski.

He called for the unification of the entire opposition in the second round, because, as he said, the differences between them are small in terms of the common goal "to overthrow this government". Mickoski asked the citizens for support in the second round so that, according to him, that goal can be achieved.

- The elections showed that there is a serious anti-government mood and dissatisfaction with the government, and the opposition votes and their common goal is a change of government and a new future for Macedonia. That is why I call for a united opposition and together for the goal of a better and new future. "Each of our differences in the opposition is less than the common goal to overthrow this government for Macedonia to move forward for all people," Mickoski said after a meeting with the leaders of the parties from the coalition "For the Renewal of Macedonia".

He called for the creation of a "united opposition of the left, center and right with one mission - to overthrow this government."

- I extend my hand for unification and united opposition, and that is what the people demanded in these elections. Macedonia has a future and must win, we are one step closer to doing great things together, the future to come now together all together to the goal, said the leader of VMRO-DPMNE.

Mickoski also asked for support from the citizens in the second round, although as he said, the picture and the message from the first are clear.

"There is another round of these local elections and a step towards change and the realization of our common new future," he said.

Mickoski expects in the second round "to a greater extent to be repeated" what, as he pointed out, was seen in the first - "vote bribery, stuffing of boxes, pressure, blackmail…"

- But, at the same time, I call on the citizens to come out in as large a number as possible in the second round, because only with mobilization and increased turnout can Spasovski's police, Ruskovska's prosecution and all bandits who threaten throughout Macedonia and thus gather support for SDSM and the coalition, said the leader of VMRO-DPMNE.
