"This is a transitional government that will be valid until the organization of elections, and then the citizens will decide. It is good to be a part of that process, that way we will prevent possible abuse of the electoral process and irregularities, which is important to have a credible electoral process and that will give confidence to VMRO-DPMNE and the citizens that the process that follows both presidential and they are parliamentary in accordance with the laws and the Constitution", said the president of VMRO-DPMNE, Hristijan Mickoski, during his visit to Kočani, answering a journalist's question about the proposal for a transitional government, even though they are rivals with VMRO-DPMNE and SDS.

Mickoski clarified that it should be a transitional government without the participation of DUI with all other political parties, i.e. that it is good for the consolidated opposition of Albanian political parties to be part of that government, while the constitutional amendments are valid after Macedonia becomes part of the EU.

"The future prime minister will not be the prime minister because of the agreement made by SDS and DUI, but will be the prime minister chosen by the majority of deputies within the Assembly. We, as VMRO-DPMNE, proposed that and we expect an answer from SDS", Mickoski said.

"When it comes to the constitutional amendments, we said okay, let's say to accept the vote for those, but that the effect be delayed, that is, with a delayed effect. That means practically the circumstances will not change, we will not have a change to the constitution, those amendments will not be part of the new constitution until the moment Macedonia becomes a member state of the EU. In this way we protect our identity and in this way we say that there will be no further concessions that could harm our identity", said Mickoski.
