Mexico: 1,5 tons of synthetic drugs seized

Members of the Mexican army discovered and seized about 1,5 tons of the synthetic drug methamphetamine and 149 kilograms of fentanyl powder at a checkpoint in the northern border state of Sonora.

The drugs were found after the Ministry of Defense received information that a truck transporting juice powder was also transporting drugs.

Mexican cartels often inform authorities of rival gangs' narcotics shipments.
