McInroe: I like Medvedev's behavior
Former US tennis player John McInroe is one of the few who defended the actions and behavior of Danil Medvedev during the semifinal match of the Australian Open against Stefanos Tsitsipas.
The Russian, who secured a place in the final of the Australian Open with the victory over Tsitsipas, where he will face Rafael Nadal, lost his nerves in the second set. Then he shouted rudely and loudly at the chief referee asking him to react and punish Tsitsipas for the alleged advice he received from his box in the stands.
"Next time you should give him a warning because his father is constantly talking," Medvedev told the chief justice.
MEDVEDEV BLOWS UP! 😡😡
The Russian has sensationally accused Tsitsipas of being coached and has GIVEN IT to the umpire over it too! 🤯🤯#AusOpen - live on Channel 9, 9Now and Stan Sport. pic.twitter.com/8Xa3qOjvnf

Although most of the tennis public condemned Medvedev's behavior, the legendary John McInroe has a different opinion.
- You are asking the wrong person for a comment. Honestly, I want to see emotions in tennis players. In the past, Jimmy Connors and Ivan Lendl and I talked all sorts of nonsense and that was interesting for the fans. "I like Danil's behavior," McInroe said.
