Deputy Prime Minister Izet Medjiti on the show "Dialogue in Lime" he said that the topic of changing the state coat of arms was not part of the agreement for the government coalition with VMRO-DPMNE and that this topic is not a priority for the Government.

However, Medjiti said that the "Vredi" coalition is ready to discuss all topics and if the topic of changing the coat of arms, as a symbol of communism, is raised, then the anthem "should also be adapted to the new times."

"We have discussed in principle the issue of the coat of arms and the anthem. If the coat of arms is a communist relic, then the anthem also comes from the communist period, then we need to adapt the anthem to the new era, to the modern era with a European spirit. It can be an anthem with only music and no lyrics, or the lyrics can be more acceptable. We said that if we open these topics, we should open them in packages, where the term 20 percent should be replaced with the Albanian language," said Medxiti.
