Mejiti: With AA in power, Grubi will be saved - we are chasing 80 votes, and we may be left without a majority of 61

Izet Majiti, the informal leader of the so-called "fire group" in the ruling DUI reveals to "Focus" that he met with the prime minister Dimitar Kovacevski, to whom he told that the members of the group are "the most reliable in supporting the strategic orientations of the government".

The deputy and vice-president of DUI believes that he does not hold the thesis that it is necessary for the opposition Alliance for Albanians to join the Arben Taravari in the government, so that there are no early parliamentary elections.

According to him, there will be no elections before the regular term even without the Alliance in the government, because, as he points out, no one from the parliamentary majority plans to challenge them and thus endanger the strategic processes.

"We saved this government and what is happening in DUI is a principled internal struggle. Debate can stabilize the parliamentary majority, not endanger it. When we do not come to the Assembly, it is a consequence, not a cause. The reason is Artan Grubi," says Majiti.

He says that although the party bodies were recently staffed in the DUI, with the "firemen" getting high party positions, there is no substantial debate and there is no account of the government ministers of the DUI, headed by First Vice Prime Minister Grubi. A discussion in the DUI will stabilize the majority, while the problem is not solved with the Alliance, says Majiti.

"If the Alliance enters the government, in the best case we are at zero, because in such a case, as many MPs will be lost as they will enter. Plus, internal processes will be opened in other parties, including the Alliance. In this way, in order to save Grubi through the Alliance, instead of chasing 80, we may lose a majority of 61 MPs," he said.
