Medvedev threatened that Russia would reach Kiev and beyond
Russia should make its special military operation "explicitly extraterritorial", said the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev.
"From this moment, the special military operation must become explicitly extraterritorial. This is no longer an operation to reclaim our country and punish the Nazis. We can and should penetrate deeper into the already existing Ukraine, towards Odessa, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv. Towards Kiev and beyond," he wrote on Telegram.
Medvedev's statement came after Ukrainian forces carried out dozens of attacks on Russian territory. During yesterday's day, the Kursk region was fiercely attacked, and in the morning there were reports that Belgorod was also on fire.
As the Russian side claims, 86 attacks were carried out in that area.
Russian President Vladimir Putin, in his extraordinary address to the nation, assessed the attacks as a major provocation. However, he did not say what kind of response Russia would take to the attacks on its territory.
