"Matica Makedonska" published selected works in ten books by Rade Siljan

In the framework of the 30th anniversary of its foundation, "Matica Makedonska" published selected works in ten books by the writer Rade Siljan. The edition was edited by Vitomir Mitevski, Paskal Gilevski, Blaze Minevski, Vesna Mojsova-Chepishevska and Zlatko Joglev. The first seven volumes include the author's poetry books, created in the past five decades, and three volumes are dedicated to the critical-essay work of Rade Siljan.

The books are followed by interpretations by Gane Todorovski, Mateja Matevski, Vitomir Mitevski, Luan Starova, Paskal Gilevski, Goce Smilevski, Sande Stojcevski, Stefan Vlahov-Micov, Sreten Perovic, Dumitru M. Ion, Elisaveta Kasabova, Eftim Kletnikov, Mika Cvetic, Vele Smilevski, Miroljub Stojanovic and Hristo Georgievski.

The works are illustrated with drawings by the famous Macedonian painters Vasko Tashkovski and Pavle Kuzmanovski, and the author of the cover design is Metodija Nikolovski-Spartak.

Rade Siljan (Zhvan, 1950) is the author of eighteen collections of poems, eleven works in the field of criticism and essays and fifteen anthologies of Macedonian drama, short story, poetry and criticism. He organized thirty numerous selections from the works of top Macedonian writers, on jubilee editions of famous works from our literary past, such as "The Collection of Miladinovs", "On Macedonian Affairs" by Misirkov, "White Dawns" by Racin in all Slavic languages, monographs and studies on Macedonian folklore, Macedonian folk mythology, medieval Macedonian painting and woodcarving, hundreds of translations of world classics and contemporary authors from all meridians. Twenty-six of his books have been translated into: English, Russian, Turkish, Greek, Italian, Bulgarian, Serbian, Hungarian, Ukrainian, Polish, Latin, Romanian, Montenegrin, Vlach, Slovenian, Bosniak and Albanian.

He has won national and international awards, including the literary awards "Miladinov Brothers" for best book at the Struga Poetry Evenings, "Aco Shopov" and "Dimitar Mitrev" of the Writers' Association of Macedonia, as well as state awards "11 October "and" St. Kliment Ohridski ”for a lifetime achievement in the field of culture.
