Macron: Five more EU countries will help us in the fight against forest fires

French President Emmanuel Macron tweeted today that five more European allies are providing aid to firefighters battling eight major forest fires across the country, including a huge blaze in southwest France.

– Germany, Greece, Poland and in the following hours Romania and Austria: our partners are coming to the aid of France against the fires. Thank you. European solidarity is at work!" Macron wrote on Twitter.

France has previously received aid from Sweden and Italy.
