French President Emmanuel Macron emphasized that today's international aid conference in Paris aims to help the "Ukrainian people survive this winter".

He said the focus is on providing short-term aid given Russia's attempts to "sow terror" in Ukraine by "cowardly" bombing the country's civilian infrastructure.

An international donor conference is being held in Paris today to mobilize aid for Ukraine and its infrastructure, destroyed by the Russian war.

About 70 countries, international organizations and the European Union will participate in the conference. The aim is to coordinate emergency assistance in the fields of energy, transport, agriculture and health care.
