At today's meeting, we assured both unions that as a Board of Directors we will continue to work dedicatedly for the benefit of all. We assured them that they should not worry about the financial stability of the payroll. This morning, within the legal deadline, as provided, the salary was paid for all 2400 employees, said at today's press conference the General Manager of AD "Posta" Jani Makraduli.

He stated that at the meeting it was agreed, after the increase of the minimum wage from January 1, to discuss how to increase the point, ie how to increase the salary of employees.

Makarduli said that after today's protest of the employees of AD "Posta" in Ohrid, he held a meeting with representatives of both unions, where he stressed that since the new Board of Directors was formed, since November 11, 87 contracts have been signed with new customers.

- Electronic commerce has been introduced for the first time where at the moment there are 14 clients who sell products through our platform, new services have been introduced, flexible delivery has been introduced. AD "Posta" of Northern Macedonia has the fastest and cheapest price for delivery, both in Skopje and throughout the country. We have invested as an investment in the new shopping mall "East Gate" where we are introducing a new service with "address bag" and with all those services we have assured the representatives of the unions not to worry about the future and the employees not to worry about their jobs, as well as for the salary, because all these procedures and steps that have been taken bring results, Makraduli emphasized.

He added that in the first six months of this year, revenues from postal services from written income increased by 10,3 million denars, package revenues increased by 1,7 million denars, sales of stamps on the philatelic market increased and revenues increased for 0,9 million denars.

- Unfortunately, the payment operations that were difficult, ie did not exist due to the bankruptcy of "Eurostandard Bank", we are now reviving it with "Halk Bank", it still has losses compared to last year, but the tendency is that now we have reached several million transactions, fifty million denars from the commission we have in relation to 71/29, much more than in the previous period with "Eurostandard Bank", said the director of AD "Posta".

Makraduli informed that in these nine months 70 million denars have been paid, which is, as he said, 30 million denars more payment to companies compared to 2020. He added that the Office aims for one year after the composition of this Board, to have no more debts than 2020.

- In order to increase revenues and be more present, because the motto of this board is "to return the mail to the citizens" we applied to the Ministry of Information Society and Administration to become an e-point for services because we have a network, computer and data on 335 places across the country and thus the Government will be more transparent and more accessible, but above all some services will be facilitated for the citizens, said Makraduli.

Namely, as previously reported by MIA, today the employees of the branches of "Macedonian Post" from Ohrid, on their behalf and on behalf of their colleagues from Struga and Debar, through a protest pointed out the poor working conditions, as well as the prolonged payments of monthly salaries to employees.

At today's protest in Ohrid, they demanded timely payment of wages, sustainable development, investment and maintenance of fixed assets, both in terms of payment operations and delivery.

According to them, the payment of the monthly personal income of the employees is prolonged with delays from month to month, it is done with worn-out means for transport of postal items, as well as inappropriate uniforms, which together adversely reflect on the quality of services provided by the entity.

- We ask the management team to have a more serious approach and to show understanding that there are still existential issues for all employees… To take concrete measures and steps to resolve this situation and the normal functioning of the "Macedonian Post", as befits a such a company which is of strategic interest to the state, said Toni Mateski, a representative of the Trade Union of "Macedonian Post".

He pointed out that the employees are facing a lack or inadequate maintenance of the basic means for work, from appropriate computers, printers, toners, paper, to the exhaustion of the means for physical delivery of shipments.
