Certificates of semi-graduates and graduates have already been handed over to schools. The other students will receive them in August, before the beginning of the next school year. The reason for the delay is due to the delay in the procedure, says the director of the Bureau for Development of Education, Zekirija Hasipi.

Due to the delay in the tender procedure for the selection of the company that will print them, this year, as well as last year, high school graduates and semi-graduates still cannot receive their certificates of completed primary or secondary education. The procedure carried out by the Education Development Bureau should have been completed by now, but the Director of the Bureau, Zekiria Hasipi, in a statement to "Sloboden Pechat" denies that the procedure did not start on time.

"Graduates and semi-graduates do not have to worry, they will be able to enroll in high school or college without any problems," said Hasipi.

Graduates who are in urgent need of a certificate due to continuing their education abroad are most concerned.

- The certificates of the semi-graduates and the graduates have been handed over. Other students will receive them in August, before the beginning of the next school year. The reason for the delay is due to the deadlock in the procedure of the Public Procurement Bureau. The procurement of materials started on time, already in February. The purchase depends on the number of high school graduates who register to take the school or state matriculation exam. Based on that number, we are preparing the tender documentation - says Hasipi.

Hasipi says the Education Development Bureau has notified schools of the timing and manner of distribution of certificates.

The teachers have already locked the annual grades in the electronic diary, after they were defined at the teachers' councils. For the first time this year, grades were recorded only in the electronic diary, after the printed diary has been completely phased out.

Last year, not only was the issuance of certificates delayed, but in some schools they were also charged.
