The Macedonian volleyball players lost in the first control match against Switzerland
The best Macedonian men's volleyball team is defeated by Switzerland in the first of two away friendlies.
The opponent was more successful with 3:0 in the sets (25:23, 25:22, 29:27), and won the fourth set, which was played with the agreement of the two selectors (25:22).
In our selection, the captain Nikola Gjorgjiev recorded 15 points, Stojan Iliev won 10, Aleksandar Ljaftov and Vlado Milev eight each.
Filip Majunkov and Filip Savovski recorded seven points each, Filip Lepidovski and Eftim Richliev two each, and Gjorgi Gjorjiev, Toshe Efremov and Stojche Arsov 1 each.
Head coach Hari Nakovski gave a chance to all volleyball players considering that the national team is preparing for the qualification for the European Championship in 2026, so it is necessary to use all the potential. The second control match between Switzerland and Macedonia is scheduled for Saturday.
