The Macedonian cultural club "Nikola Vaptsarov" in Blagoevgrad will not be closed, but after a year of existence it will be moved to another place after the owners were threatened several times and are not allowed to renew the contract, said OMO Ilinden Pirin after speculations that the club is closing.

"All members of all organizations are invited and received in the club. Nothing is required from anyone to attend the club and participate in its activities or the festivities organized by it. The Bulgarian authorities make a huge effort to prevent the opening of Macedonian clubs or to take away the premises of existing ones. In such conditions, the spread of insults, misinformation and half-truths only further aggravates the already difficult struggle of the Macedonians in Bulgaria", say OMO "Ilinden" - Pirin.

From there, they appeal to the media for more professionalism and to all Macedonians not to believe unverified negative information.

The club was opened last year, with increased police security. Two months ago, the club was demolished, during which the windows were broken.
