In the House of Culture "Boris Hristov" in the Bulgarian city of Plovdiv, tonight the National Opera and Ballet of the Republic of North Macedonia hosted the ballet show "The Ladies of Avignon".

At the beginning of the event, tribute was paid to the victims of the catastrophic earthquake in Turkey and Syria.

The ballet performance is inspired by the painting of the same name by Pablo Picasso, with the libretto and dramaturgy by Sasho Dimoski, music by Kaliopi Boukle and choreography and direction by Olga Pango, and in a ballet performance by first-class girls of the Macedonian Ballet. The Plovdiv audience greeted our artists with long applause. The visit is supported by financial resources of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria.
