A Macedonian woman elected minister in the Slovenian government will lead the country's digitalisation

Emilija Stojmenova Duh, Doctor of Science and Associate Professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Ljubljana, has been elected Minister of Digitalization in the new Slovenian government.

She is the founder and director of the FabLab Slovenia network, as well as the director of the Digital Innovation Hub (DIH) Slovenia.

Stojmenova Duh, 36, is active in the "Smart Villages" initiative, supported by the European Commission and the European Parliament. She represents Slovenia in a multi-regional US State Department project that selected 50 women from around the world to hold important positions in science, technology and math.

After finishing her second year at the Natural and Mathematical High School in Vinica, Emilia Stojmenov Duh moved to Maribor. From the Personnel Development Agency in Slovenia, she received a scholarship for the International Matura program, and then completed her studies in electrical engineering at the University of Maribor, where she was the best student.

The coalition parties of the new Slovenian Government that he will lead Robert Golob, yesterday agreed on the distribution of ministerial posts in the Cabinet, as well as the text of the coalition agreement that will be initialed as soon as it is formally adopted by the governing party bodies.

The future Prime Minister Golob, the chairwoman of the Social Democrats, Tanja Fajon and the president of the Left Party, Luke Month, after several hours of talks, confirmed that the new government will be composed of 19 ministries and a government Office for the Diaspora.
