197.273 tourists were registered in Macedonia in July this year. According to the data of the State Statistics Office, of the total number of tourists, 46 percent or 90.702 are domestic, and 106.571 or 54 percent are foreign.

The number of overnight stays in July is 742.970, of which 71.4 percent are from domestic tourists, and 28.6 percent from foreign tourists.

Lake places were the most attractive tourist spots for both domestic and foreign tourists.

In terms of accommodation, foreign tourists mostly stayed in hotels, and domestic tourists stayed in houses or apartments for rent.

In July, Macedonia had the most tourists from Turkey (35.078), Serbia (11.124), Poland (5.911), Romania (4.860)...

In the period January - July 2023, compared to the same period of the previous year, the number of tourists increased by 25.3 percent. There is an increase of 1.2 percent among domestic tourists, and 44.0 percent among foreign tourists.

The number of overnight stays, on the other hand, in the period January - July this year, compared to last year, increased by 12.4 percent, among domestic tourists by 0.7 percent, and among foreign tourists by 28.4 percent.
