Macedonia with 19 representatives at the Special Olympics in Berlin
This summer, Macedonia will be represented by 19 athletes with atypical development who will perform at the Special Olympics in Berlin from June 12-26, where over 7000 athletes from 190 countries and 20.000 volunteers will participate.
The preparations, as well as the expectations from the games, were discussed at a press conference at the Agency for Youth and Sports, which supports the performance of Macedonian athletes.
It is a great pleasure and honor for me as an athlete and director of the Agency for Youth and Sports to announce the biggest sports gathering for athletes with atypical development, the Olympic Games/ The performance in such a big competition is a real opportunity to represent the state, but also an opportunity to gain new experiences, said the director of AMS Naumche Mojsovski.
MOtto "Let me win, if I can't, let me at least try."" should be an initiative and an appeal to all sports workers and other institutions to support these athletes in achieving their goals, added Mojsovski.
