A thirty-two-year-old Macedonian citizen was killed on Saturday in the German city of Essen. The deadly attack took place in the middle of the city center, by two Eritreans, it reports Bild.

The two Eritreans, one 25 years old, the other 29 years old, initially argued with the Macedonian, and the argument turned into a fight. The Eritreans beat the Macedonian with a beer bottle until he collapsed. The suspected perpetrators then fled towards the main train station.

He was given first aid and a witness of the event tried to resuscitate the injured on the spot, who was no longer conscious.

"He was taken to the hospital, but he died there after a short time due to his serious injuries," said the police spokesman.

Due to the good description of the witness, the police managed to arrest one suspect (25) at the train station in Essen and the other (29) at the train station in Milheim.

The reason for their argument is still unclear. A homicide commission is now investigating the case under the direction of the public prosecutor's office in Essen.
