The Minister of Culture and Tourism, Zoran Ljutkov, made a working visit to the locality of Bargala, Municipality of Karbintsi, and to the national institutions in the field of culture in Shtip, during which he made an insight into the current situation, realizing the needs of the institutions for the period to come.

"Bargala is a locality of strategic importance for our policies regarding the development of cultural tourism, therefore together with the competent institution Institute and Museum - Shtip and with the mayor of the Municipality of Karbinci, Viktor Paunov, we will advocate for greater utilization of the tourist pavilion in on the site and for the promotion of the church of St. Gjorgi, who make an extremely attractive complex for the affirmation of the culture and history of this region", said Ljutkov and added that a revaluation has been prepared for this exceptional locality, which will provide a new protection regime.

Minister Ljutkov said that the Ministry of Culture and Tourism continues to continuously support the program activities of the site, and expressed support for finding alternative ways of financing, especially in the area of efficient night lighting, of the protected and fenced late antique city.

In Shtip, Minister Ljutkov emphasized the urgent need to rebuild the dilapidated building of the National Theater, especially the leaking roof that threatens it the safety of the actors and the audience.

"Here we are facing a lack of basic technical staff needed to run the work of both the Center and the Shtip Theatre. In recent years, not even the most vital positions needed for the realization of the productions have been filled, which has led to a low level of program contents, insufficient repertoire, almost closed institutions.

Among the priorities of our policy will be finding models for gradual personnel renewal and re-equipment of the Culture Center, as an institution that is the bearer of the cultural life of Shtip", said the minister.

Minister Zoran Ljutkov and the mayor of Shtip, Ivan Yordanov, discussed the ways of securing funds for the projects for which there is conservation approval and immediate work can be done on their immediate protection, namely: the Clock Tower in Shtip, the Husamedin Pasha Mosque or the church of St. Ilia, as well as for the Isarot conservation project.

"It is a challenge to care for and preserve the cultural heritage, to animate the international community about their value and to make the cultural, natural, gastronomic beauties of our country, especially Shtip, widely available and to promote them as our authentic tourist offer ", said the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Zoran Ljutkov.
