Aleksandar Mitrovic's hat-trick saw Serbia edge past Sweden to move level with Norway at the top of Group 4 in Division B of the Nations League.

Serbia defeated Sweden convincingly 4:1, and the Fulham striker scored three goals and is the most deserving of the turnaround and victory of his national team.

Although they dominated Sweden from the first minute at the "Rajko Mitic" stadium in Belgrade, the Serbian footballers did not disturb the opponent's lead in the 15th minute when Viktor Klaesson scored.

Just three minutes later, Mitrovic equalized the score with a header, and the turning point was brought in extra time in the first half when he beat Robin Olsen with a header in the same way. At the start of the second half, Mitrovic scored another goal, and Sasha Lukic sealed the convincing triumph.

In Group 1 of Division B, Scotland responded to the triumph of the Ukrainians, with a 2:1 victory over the Republic of Ireland and returned to the top of the table. The Irish took the lead through Egan's goal on 18 minutes, but Scotland turned the tables in the second half thanks to goals from Christie and Hendrie. Before the match with Ukraine in the last round, Scotland is the leader of the table with 12 points.

In Division A, Spain made a setback that could leave them without first place and placement in the final tournament. "The Fury" in Zaragoza lost to Switzerland with 1:2 and the first place in the table and left it to Portugal, which outclassed the Czech Republic with 4:0.

The goals for Switzerland were scored by Manuel Akanji and Brill Embolo, while the goal for Spain was the work of Jordi Alba.

The Portuguese were led to a convincing triumph by double scorer Diogo Dalot and Bruno Ferdnandez and Diogo Jota. With the victory, Portugal climbed to first place in the table with 10 points and will secure a place in the final tournament if they do not lose against Spain in Braga on Tuesday.
