Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid today asked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to normalize relations with Saudi Arabia, as proposed by the United States.

- Netanyahu should announce that he has entered into negotiations with the Saudis, including the part about Palestine, indicated the leader of the opposition party Yesh Atid" (There is a future).

According to Lapid, it will also undermine efforts to prosecute Netanyahu before the International Criminal Court.

- In The Hague, they will not prosecute the prime minister who is in the historic peace process. This will solve the problem with The Hague, the problem in Gaza, and also help us to get pressure from the Saudis to release the hostages, noted Lapid.

White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan told Netanyahu two days ago that there is a possibility that Israel will normalize relations with Saudi Arabia if Jerusalem agrees on the path to a future Palestinian state. Netanyahu responded that he would not accept a Palestinian state, even by normalizing relations with Saudi Arabia.
