Licenses for the production of electricity from the sun are going like halva

In twenty-five months, 578,26 MW of new energy capacities from renewable sources have been connected, which produce electricity that is sufficient for the average consumption of almost 185 thousand households, the Regulatory Commission for Energy, Water Services and Municipal Waste Management (RKE) announced.
In January, RKE issued licenses for the production of electricity from renewable sources with an installed capacity of 27,06 MW.
"These numbers confirm that the private initiative and the capital invested in this sector is proving to be highly effective and therefore the realization is fast." In twenty-five months, we will have practically the new environmental REK Bitola when it comes to installed power, only now it is not electricity from coal, but electricity predominantly from the Sun, but also from wind, water and biomass," said Marko Bislimoski, president of RKE.
In 2023, licenses were issued for the production of electricity from renewable sources with a total installed capacity of almost 399 MW, which represents an increase of over 160% of the installed capacity compared to 2022, when 152,2 MW were issued.
