Left: In the Kumanovo village of Šupli Kamen, bread is no longer brought
Persons with special needs, old and infirm, pensioners and workers who have dedicated their working life to agriculture and food production, from the Kumanovo village of Šupli Kamen, have been left without bread for the third week, the Left Party reacted today.
"There is no grocery store in the village, so the only way they were supplied with the basic food product was the bakers who brought the bread three times a week with a van. After the Government's measure to freeze the price of bread, the private bakeries were not paid to deliver the bread, so they decided to stop delivering, after which the residents were left without bread. "This kind of treatment of these people, both by the central and local authorities, is cruel, beneath every human dignity and deserves the strictest condemnation," reacts Left. The party demands that the central government urgently find a solution for the people and an urgent measure by the Mayor. "The possibility that people from other villages will also encounter this problem is great, so we encourage citizens if they are facing such a problem to immediately report to Levica. From our side, the institutions will be alerted immediately! In case the problem is not solved immediately, the activists from the branch will start delivering bread until a solution to the problem is found," said Levica.
