Leposavic: Residents gathered, Hetemi spent the night in the municipal building
A large number of citizens gathered this morning in front of the Leposavic municipality building, and the newly elected mayor of that municipality, Ljuljim Hetemi, spent the night in the building.
According to the Kosovo Online reporter, soldiers of the Italian KFOR are stationed in large numbers on the plateau in the center of the city, and behind them are the vehicles of the special units of the Kosovo Police.
Citizens have gathered in front of them and are protesting peacefully, and are also grouped at the nearby church of Saint Vasil Ostroshki, in the center of Leposavic and at "Leposavic" Elementary School.
This morning, the representatives of the Serbs spoke with the representatives of the Italian CFOR and repeated their demands to be freed from the illegally usurped work premises, so that they can carry out their work unhindered.
Schools are still closed today, as are most shops, and an ambulance is parked nearby. People are determined to persevere in their intentions and demands that they highlighted yesterday, which have not yet been fulfilled.
The demands are for Hetemi to leave the municipal building, but also for the special police to withdraw.
The main Leposavic-Severna Mitrovica road is passable, and police patrols are deployed along the road.
The Jarinje administrative crossing is open for traffic.
